Since 1987 Compvalves has been manufacturing Custom Stainless Steel Valves , Using only the finest quality, hot upset forged materials, 21-4N Austenetic, and Nimonic 80A ,where applicable for turbo exhaust valves.
All machining is done in a Nakamura CNC Lathe, to very fine tolerance. Every valve blank first has the combustion chamber face machined in the CNC to a mirror finish,and is carefully inspected for Forging Faults, so these valves don't end up in your engine.
Valve stems are then carefully inspected for size, tolerance, finish, dents, and any of the many other imperfections that make them unsuitable for a high performance applications.
CNC precision ensure every valve is identical in a set, and all valves are designed to be structurally strong,with minimum weight, and to flow as much air as possible.
All valves are swirl polished by hand to remove any stress raisers, or fatigue points , from the machining process,
greatly increasing the fatigue life of the valve.
As there are many configurations of engines , each with their own particular requirements, it can be difficult to have a standard price, a straight forward valve may be around $ 80 ea, however as some valves may need be ground to a special stem size (add $10 to $20 ea) or have hard tipping welded on the end to survive adjuster bolts, or rockers (add $ 25 ea) Tufftriding, the black finish in the photos, adds $ 10 ea
but will add substantially to the stem life of the valve.
